Further expansion to the Wynnstay dairy services team

Wynnstay is delighted to announce the appointment of David Jones to the dairy services team, covering the West Midlands and neighbouring parts of Wales.

From a dairy farming background, David has worked in the UK ruminant feed industry for over a decade after graduating from Harper Adams University.

“It’s a very exciting time to join Wynnstay as the dairy services team head in a new strategic direction, focusing on nutrition, environment and data,” says Mr Jones.

“My previous roles in the dairy sector have concentrated on transition cow nutrition, feed conversion efficiency, dairy business economics and physical nutrition, and I look forward to utilising these skillsets for Wynnstay customers.”

A FAR advisor with Agricultural Industries Confederation, Mr Jones previously worked as an independent nutritional advisor for the InTouch system, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise into how dairy customers can utilise data and technology to improve business performance.

Commenting on the new addition to the team, head of dairy services David Howard says Mr Jones’ industry experience will be a great asset.

“We’re thrilled to welcome David to Wynnstay. His knowledge and experience will help us to grow and support our customers in the coming years” he says.

“Dairy farms are producing increasing amounts of data from various new technologies and we believe that data interpretation will be key to our customer's profitability in the future. Nutrition is our core business but understanding how nutrition is performing will become increasingly key to what we do, and David will be central to delivering this.”
